Next Generation YouView from BT

Today BT announce that they are going to transform the BT TV Service in early 2017 with a “Next Generation” YouView system and a brand new BT TV App for mobile.

The new service will have an image rich experience with easier to access channels and ondemand content. The upgrade will be provided free across all of BT TV’s packages. If this applies to old BT Boxes not in subscription we don’t yet know.
