Premieres coming to iPlayer soon

So far, the BBC iPlayer service has focused on catchup TV, or the ability to watch something that had already been broadcast. Over the next 12 months, this is going to change. They are going to start experimenting with showing brand new shows on the service first. This shows how much viewing habits are changing and that the TV is no longer the primary focus.

40 hours of content will be premiered on the service during the coming months, this will include content from a range of programmes and genres. If this trial succeeds its possible we will see even more in the future.
