BSkyB to become one of Europe’s largest Pay TV providers

Rumors have existed for a while that BSkyB wanted to take on Europe, today they have finally made that move.

They have announced today that they have agreed a £4.9 billion move to acquire Sky Italia and buy the majority share in Sky Deutschland. If the deal is given the ok, it would mean Sky Europe would emerge as one of the largest pay tv operators in Europe, with nearly 20 million customers.
