Virgin Media’s TV Anywhere

Not to be left behind, Virgin have now opened up their TV Anywhere service, this means Virgin Media cable subscribers can now access and watch TV content while they are on the move. With an internet browser and connection, you can watch easily.

The current system allows use via web browsers and on iOS devices, an app for Android is due next year, hopefully earlier the better. This system will allow you to watch any one of about 45 channels online. The app also allows interaction with TV currently being watched on your TiVo powered box, powering “second screen interaction”, using your tablet / phone as a twitter view for example to enhance the viewing experience.
