BBC plans to launch BBC One +1

Director General Tony Hall has announced that the BBC is to launch a BBC One +1 channel, to give people more of what they’ve already paid for.

In a speech that also announced the BBC’s vision for a new and much-improved iPlayer, Lord Hall said that a BBC Store would be launched, offering UK customers the chance to buy BBC shows to watch and keep.

There are also plans for BBC Music to become a recognised brand with the innovative BBC Playlister allowing music fans to tag music on the BBC and listen to it later.
